How to get a fully functional command console in midnight commander?

I'm an Ubuntu user and I'm annoyed by the frequent use of ls & cd commands. MC solves this problem, but how would you still use a full-featured console without leaving MC?

Midnight Commander, like many applications, can be paused with Ctrl-Z . To restore it, type fg in the console . You can see the list of collapsed ones with the jobs command . Call the required command fg <job number> .

Ctrl + O minimizes the MC window
. But note that the history of the console will be kept separately and if you close the ms, the history will become unavailable. It is necessary to open and collapse again ms
