.svg images on the site. Should I make a logo in .svg and what problems can arise?

And if there are no problems, then why is this solution not common?

Inserting SVG is more difficult than other drawings, and not all browsers display it correctly.

Problems will be with IE. Opera, Mozilla and Chrome work fine with SVG.
By the way, why a vector logo?

In principle, I think this does not make much sense, since the logo is static and its size does not change. Well, look at the habr logo, it is in png, in svg it will look the same, but in svg it will most likely weigh more.
Use SVG when you need to resize an image.

Today it has become popular to use the logo in SVG on websites with responsive design.
that is, the design changes on the phone, tablet and computer.
so the logo always remains in excellent quality, it is not deformed.
if the site is normal, SVG has no advantages, but complexity is added.
There are different formats and there is no better one, everyone is good for their tasks.
