Studying the base of networks?

Hello,
I watched almost half of the video course "DarkMaycal Sysadmins" - as for a person without the slightest idea about networks, I really got into it, but the lessons are rather boring in places (but I think I can finish it through force), I
tried to read a series of articles "Networks for the smallest "- I begin to feel gaps in knowledge and it is precisely because of this that I learn much less, unlike the video course (above), Andrey Sozykin - I tried it, good and fast delivery - but good for repetition or consolidation, and not for learning from scratch , I just downloaded Oliferov - I haven’t read it yet, I looked it over, but I also think at least some kind of base is needed so as not to drive a dry theory.

Question: maybe there are still alternatives to the resources that I cited, the opinion of people who have recently walked this path themselves is especially interesting, and not uncles with 10 years of experience (nothing personal).
And what is included in the understanding: basic knowledge of networks? What do you need to know to move on to the Axes?

I will be very grateful!

@IIeter

In terms of networks - You must understand how networks are organized, what is a subnet mask and why it is needed
What is a gateway and dns, how they work
What is a firewall and why, what is NAT and how it works
What is a proxy and how it works
What is VLAN
What and how with vpn ...
This is for starters
Well, about Tannenbaum, most likely good advice, although I have not read
