Socks proxy: why did Chrome and Safari stop opening all Google sites?

Somewhere I dug up that there was some kind of problem with DNS, but I did not fully understand it.
For a couple of days everything worked fine, and then all google sites died out.

There are no such problems in Firefox, and now I'm sitting through it.

What to do?

Client: OS X 10.8.2, Server: Debian 6

perhaps because of ssl or spdy?

Problems with DNS?
1. Register DNS from Google 8.8.8.8
2. Register DNS from a hoster who has a VPN server
3. Put a local DNS server on MacOSX.
4. Tell us about the results
