Soapy picture on the monitor?

Hello,
I just bought an msi R290 video card, it has two dvi-d and hdmi connectors. The syncmaster 943nwx monitor, vga connector, when connected via an adapter to dvi-d, does not show pictures at all (but the check signal cable message disappears), and when connected via an hdmi adapter, the picture is blurry. Help, what's the matter? Is it possible to fix?

First, make sure your screen resolution is set to the monitor's native resolution.
Apparently, your video card does not have an analog output at all, which means that the “soapiness” of the picture is completely on the conscience of a miracle adapter, which converts a digital signal into an analog one.
You can change the monitor to a normal one (with a digital interface), or look for a better adapter, or a video card with an analog interface (VGA or DVI-I).
