Should You Start a Career in SEO?
I would like to ask experienced specialists in SEO promotion if there are any prospects in the profession of a seo specialist? If yes, then to what wages it is realistic to increase.
At the moment I work as a design engineer in Moscow with a salary of $1000, the ceiling in this profession is somewhere around $1500, after which there will be nowhere to move.
Recently, a friend invited me to work in a company as a novice specialist.
Do you think it makes sense to change jobs if the soul lies more in it than in my current job.

Going to SEO is the same as going to shaman. As in shamanism, he knocked on a tambourine like that and it started to rain, and like that it snowed. Exclusively experienced way, methods of trial, error and experimentation. It's the same with SEO.
Search engine algorithms are closed, no one can, except for a Yandex programmer or Google, explain why this site is in 1st place in search results. All that's left is to experiment. With a large number of experiments, some statistics are collected, after which sites can be learned to move up in the search.
And in this case, the business will be ready to give any money.
But you will always be like an Einsteinian outside of the true picture:
“In our quest to understand reality, we are somewhat like a person who wants to understand the mechanism of a closed clock. He sees the dial and the moving hands, even hears the ticking, but he has no means of opening their case. If he is witty, he can paint for himself a picture of the mechanism that would fit everything he observes, but he can never be quite sure that his picture is the only one that could explain his observations. He will never be able to compare his picture with a real mechanism...”

Of course, it’s worth a try if the “soul lies”, even though there are many automation systems now (like Rookee), anyway, each site needs to be filled and promoted to the TOP, and not many people know how to do this. Moreover, an understanding of SEO will make it possible to recognize such areas as contextual and targeted advertising, ASO (promotion of mobile applications), web development, and so on. And organic search isn't going anywhere as long as the internet exists.
imho
If the soul lies in this and - most importantly - there is a job offer, then it's worth it. It is very risky for a novice SEO to enter the market without a job offer.
Separately, I note that 1000 dollars for Moscow is a job that you should not be sorry to leave. I would even say that it is definitely worth looking into other areas before it's too late.
At Yandex, under each article, under each note in their blog, a bunch of indignant comments from webmasters and site owners are guaranteed to appear. The fact that the entire top of the issue is filled with paid Yandex advertising, and that there is a general trend: to sell places through all channels, on a bunch of services owned by Yandex. What Yandex itself calls its ecosystem.
And how can SEO specialists live in such conditions? Even highly qualified ones. A few years ago, they really fought for a place in the top of the issue, but now at least optimize - you will be at best "first among the unpaid".
Will the SEO sphere die in the next few years? With these trends...
Well, black SEOs are some of the richest people in the way of specialties, with incomes of ten thousand dollars a month)))
