Will a mathematical education in IT make it easier to get a job?

Does a higher mathematical education give an advantage over other applicants in the IT field, perhaps more experienced but without education. And in general, how much are the areas of programming related to mathematics in demand, how difficult will it be to find a job in IT, for an applicant who has a good mathematical base, but without experience in IT, how developed are the areas of programming related to mathematics?

Mathematics education has the advantage that you will have the right (suitable for software development) thinking. Knowledge of mathematics (at least the first two years of a technical university) will be useful in software development, at least in my experience.
Yes and no. Depends on the company. If your mathematical education contributes, or in the future will contribute to solving business problems, then you are more likely to be hired, and not a person who will have more formal experience. But again, all this knowledge/skills/skills can be obtained without formal education, the question is time and motivation. What matters is how you think and solve problems. Few people care about formal signs, in fact.
Specify and decompose, plz.

Other things being equal, the first job will be given to a person with a specialized education
No. Although depending on what kind of employee is needed in the office. We now have positions for which we basically take people without experience, but with a higher education.
There is work, but most often you also need the practical application of mathematics, and not lecture notes

People are divided into two types, those who want and find a job in a week and those who don’t really want and can’t find a job, you can look around and look at them, the presence or absence of education does not move you from these groups, I have a friend with nine grade education always found a job in a week, made a career as a programmer and moved poster to Canada. Moreover, his mental abilities are below average, but if there is a task, you need to do it, and he stupidly takes it and does it, and it always works for him
