Front-end developer job?
Hello, I would like to ask about work in Russia, namely in St. Petersburg, I myself am from Belarus and I want to move to St. Petersburg and, accordingly, find work for the front there. I don’t have much experience freelancing for 1 year, I have a portfolio (namely [censored] sites on wp), according to skill - html, css, js, jq, bootstrap , flex, grid, sass, gulp, php - and began to study ( vue.js). I scattered my resume on hh but everyone refused because of the location, I suspect so, can you tell me how you can find a company to go through social security via Skype (remote) or some other options.
I will be grateful for help.
Sincerely.

It seems to me that it is hard to find a job in St. Petersburg. There are not so many vacancies, but a lot of people come and look for work in the web field. I could not find a job, there were few responses, and they did not call me back after the interviews. It is better to go to Moscow, the work is many times larger and the pay is higher. As a result, I returned from St. Petersburg and found a job in my city.
On fl just today I saw a vacancy for front end dev with a test salary of 1k dollars.
The main thing to remember is that water does not flow under a lying stone.
Open the city map, find Web Studio. And call everything in a row, in extreme cases, write.

In fact, in St. Petersburg, a lot of large companies conduct interviews via Skype. Take the same Yandex or Rayk. But not large companies also practice this. They go towards applicants. The company in which I work is always glad to have specialists from the regions, you can have an interview via Skype and by phone, and in case of a successful decision, you can already move. Several of my colleagues have done just that. Good luck in your search!
Only recently they hired a proger from Belarus, interviewed via Skype, though there was a different stack. Work on improving your portfolio, consider working in an adjacent stack where there are noticeably more vacancies, for example, full-stack php, look not only on hh, but also in the vacancies / feedback section on the websites of St. Petersburg web studios.
