Should I upgrade my MacBook Pro 2012 to Mac OS Mojave?

I have a MacBook Pro (with Retina display, mid 2012), Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.
For some programs (logic, etc.) I need a newer version, but I heard that the siers lag a lot. Should I upgrade to Mojave?

Mojave is the best thing in recent years! Stable! Fast! On yours, performance should be especially noticeable!
