Should I take macbook air late 2018 for development?
I already asked a question about choosing a laptop for a long time, but now the moment has become interesting, is it worth taking this
Apple MacBook Air 13 with Retina display Late 2018 (Intel Core i5 1600 MHz/13.3"/2560x1600/16GB/256GB SSD/DVD no/ Intel UHD Graphics 617/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/macOS)
Usual usage scenario - connecting two monitors, development (front plus back, sometimes three projects are running at the same time, a bunch of tabs in browsers, virtual machines, etc.)
I read that it can get warm under load and may not pull two monitors.
Considering its cost (135 thousand), does it make sense to take it at all, or can you see ordinary Windows laptops cheaper (well, or for such a price, it’s cooler in terms of characteristics)? .. You need at least 16 gigs of RAM plus good performance plus two monitors. And also constant trips with it and work offline without a decrease in performance. The current laptop has problems with this, it drops the frequency and doesn’t work quickly, and if you turn it off, it doesn’t work for a long time.
There have never been Apples, but for some reason everyone advises. Plus, I don’t understand if air is enough or is it still necessary to take a pro for such tasks? True, it will be much more expensive.

Of course it doesn't make sense, there's nothing to even discuss. It’s worth starting with the fact that the beech has only 2 usb - c, if you really save so much, then it’s unlikely to buy a monitor that will also charge your macbook)
But I frankly don’t understand what is the point of paying for 135k eir if you can take a plug with a touchbar 2019, 4-core i5 with the same 16 GB of RAM and a much better display.
For your tasks, you need a Pro.
In pro, the monitor is better, and 4 ports will be if 256 GB, since 2018 there are 4 cores, and not 2 as in air.
Macs for years, the laptop will work well for a long time, air is not productive, you can’t even compare. Geekbenches, etc. If you decide Apple, then take Pro, Air for surfing the Internet.
Apple's plus is that on the secondary it is always relevant, and few people need a screw one. Much more expensive hmmm, take 16 operatives and 256 and ok, you don’t need air, you need a pro for such tasks. It will definitely be ok for the future for a couple of years, but you yourself know that everything works ok for 3-5 years.
