How do you design website layouts on a Mac Book with retina?

Good day to all :)
I work as a web designer + I do application design. I plan to travel and continue to work along the way, in this regard, I need a laptop for work (I will only work on a laptop, no connections with an external monitor). Surfing the Internet in search of fresh posts and articles that would help make a choice, but somehow not a lot. Therefore, there is only hope for you))
The usual scenario of work: a bunch of tabs in chrome, photoshop, bridge and illustrator are running at the same time. I'm thinking of getting a mac book pro 15', 2014. This is where the questions begin:
- is it worth taking the version with 16 gigs of RAM or is 8 gigs enough?
- How are things with the retina. I read that preparing layouts with a standard width of 1920 px is terribly inconvenient, precisely because of the increased pixel density. But the joke is that everything I read was at best a year old (or even more). Adobe seems to have updated their programs for the retina. In short, how are things now?
Particularly interested in the opinion of people who are actively engaged in web design, working on the retina. Please describe how you feel about working, whether you encounter a "retina" problem, and how a web designer works on a poppy in general (I have no iOS experience, I spent my whole life on Windows).

PS Are there any worthy alternatives to mac book pro among ultrabooks on Windows?

I'm not a web designer, but I can answer a couple of questions:
Still, 16GB is better if money allows, especially if you keep many programs open at the same time. Because 8GB even now is a minimum, and it seems impossible to add more RAM to macbooks - everything is soldered there.
As for ultrabooks on Windows: yes, they exist, see market.yandex.ru/catalog/91013/filters?exc=1&how=dpop here . Drive in what specific characteristics you are interested in.
For example this or this .
Also, if there is an opportunity to buy abroad, you can look at the new models on broadwell, which we do not have yet

The MacBook is great for working on the go. You won't find a better solution anyway. Retina does not worsen the design in any way now, ask thousands of designers who are sitting on macbooks.
Of course, 15 inches is not enough for a designer to turn around, but you will be on the road and this is a necessary evil. Regarding 8 or 16, if you already have a stationary powerful computer, and you only need a laptop on the road, then 16 is superfluous.

Personally, I normally work on 15.6 inches (not retina). Therefore, I can not say anything about the retina. Well, if possible, then take 16, because I have 8 and 5 of them fly away when I open 4 tabs of the Mozilla and Photoshop browser + on one of the tabs there may be a video on YouTube or the radio makes noise
