Should I sign an NDA?

Hello everyone, I stumbled upon an employer, threw off a test task (not difficult), did it. They wrote to me that they are ready to accept for an unpaid internship (the first job), the term of which is "equal to the time to complete the test task received from the team leader." Now they are asked to sign an NDA with filling in passport data and send them a scan of the passport "for verification".

The company is registered in the UK and the NDA states that if something happens, the court will be in Britain.
I have not been interviewed yet and they are already offering to sign an NDA.

The question is, are there any pitfalls here? It's kind of blurry, in my opinion.

Read nda. There is sometimes a game like "one hundred million dollars for work with a competitor." And half of the IT industry falls under the competitor.
In general, it’s okay, I have already signed a dozen of them in my career.

The only thing I will add on the passport scan is to apply a watermark for company name diagonally and add Gaussian noise

For most Western employers, this is normal practice.
Just in case, read carefully.
If you are paranoid, you can re-read with a lawyer.
If the company is large (500+ developers), then the NDA is most likely template.

and send them a scan of the passport "for verification"

the main thing is that they "check" not with an open face;)

Initially, I realized that this is just a bureaucracy to reassure the customer, I have been signing them all my life, never in my life has anyone ever followed me so that I would comply, if the employer wants nda, give him nda, he wants an invoice, give an invoice, he wants a labor contract, give me an employment contract. It won't affect your life in any way.

Sign, in 90% of cases this means that you do not have the right to disclose the essence of this very work until a certain time / stage. Of the minuses - a case from such work then 90% of what will be forbidden to do. Everywhere 90%)
