Should I send the signed NDA to the customer?

The customer of the freelance project "not from 0" asks to send a photocopy of the passport and the signed NDA agreement. Is it advisable to do this? Sending your passport to no one knows where is a dubious undertaking, it seems to me. Has anyone experienced this?

Submit your passport

You are only asked for a photocopy. And since a person requires a signed NDA, then you must provide him with some document with which, in case of violation of the NDA, he will go to court.
habrahabr.ru/post/88058 - good material on the topic, there is also a lot of useful information in the comments.

Submit your passport photo.
Specify what data can be "covered up".
If this doesn't work, then go to a notary and make a certified copy for "transfer to the XXX company" so that it cannot be transferred to another place.

I always send it without problems
. So your passport is already scanned and xerified everywhere in a bunch of places, why do you allow them to do this? And if you allow in very dubious places, then why does this place seem more dubious to you.

If the customer requires guarantees, then work through the guarantor. For freelancers, there are a lot of them in the form of "safe deals" on exchanges.

NDA ok, passport definitely not ok.
