Should I create a LinkedIn profile in advance?

Hello. At the moment I am studying, but I want to actively develop in IT. Should I register and create a profile on LinkedIn in advance and post something there if I'm not looking for a job yet (due to my studies)? I often participate in various IT-related events and create projects there, it might be nice to start collecting them on LinkedIn.

Why did such a question arise? Linkedin himself does not forbid this, a piece will not fall off from you either, who's stopping you from trying it?

LinkedIn is an ordinary social network focused more on finding colleagues, but in general it is not much different from the same Facebook or VKontakte. Finding a job is just one of many possibilities. Nobody bothers to create a profile, just to communicate.
