Shared hosting or VDS for Wordpress?
Hello. The question is probably "hackneyed" but a fairly competent answer was never found (I tried very hard)
What to choose, virtual hosting at top rates or vds for the same money?
With:
- a couple of sites where the main one is wordpress with a voracious constructor (Elementor)
- attendance of 500+ uniques
On forums and hubs, I see completely opposite opinions that say that if you yourself are not a "pro" admin, then climb into vds you have nothing to do because you will not be able to properly configure the server, and shared hosting has already been prepared technically.
The other side insists that you can use the actual basic settings of their box, install an isp panel (conditionally) and live better than with any virtual host
I personally have no experience and understanding of setting up vds, I have enough to install the panel itself, vesta, fastpanel and the like, i.e. I will use the purchased vds out of the box.
With such "data", which option do you think is more optimal?

Under, practically, any WP configuration, only ready-made web hosting.
VDS is usually only needed for extremely sophisticated backend sites.
Hosting of course. On VDS you will be hardware limited in resources. Shared hosting has powerful servers and it is permissible to exceed the permissible load for a short time. Setting up the server does not end with the installation of the control panel, but only begins.

this does not say anything about the load.
you can order hosting for free testing up to 14 days and check your sites in operation there. There are no problems with Wordpress, this CMS has standard work with the database, without abnormal overloads, accurate processor usage.
or buy a VPS. they write incorrectly above - on VPS we increase resources without any problems if necessary - we add RAM, CPU cores, a disk. There are ready-made panel templates: Vesta, ISP, cPanel.
Good afternoon, according to the declared initial data, I recommend first of all placing a site on a hosting, for example, Beget, where you can intuitively create a site right away on WordPress, there is a convenient configuration functionality for php settings, and database tools, also, if necessary, a simple inclusion Redis, memcache and other services.
You can consider alternative hosting, it does not matter.
Tasks for which you will definitely need a VDS / VPS with a panel and other things, if you are working on projects where there is personal data according to Federal Law 152, in this case, you need a virtual server that provides data storage services in the Russian Federation, or solve problems protection of PD independently. Here, deep knowledge of working with web applications, databases, development processes will already be required, and a dedicated server can be brought to the configuration that you need.
