Share your experience with the GSM-module?

Good day,
I want to buy any GSM-module (connected via USB) to send SMS notifications to employees. Maybe someone solved a similar problem? What GSM module did you use? Where did you buy?

A long time ago, about 7 years ago, I worked with the Siemens MC35 GSM module, an analogue of the legendary phone, only in a box. It connected via COM and was easily controlled by a set of AT commands.
However, a study of the market for SMS sending services showed that even in those days, sending through services was cheaper (something like 0.2 cents per SMS) than sending from your account. Such services, as a rule, have an HTTP interface, which is very convenient for programming. I suggest you take a look at them.

Implemented on a megaphone 3g modem, inside a SIM card with a corporate tariff (free SMS for employees). Here is a detailed description of how sending works Link If SMS is not free, then it is better to use a third-party script
