Setting up a skylink modem, using EVDO?
Good day.
Yesterday I set up a skylink modem in the office.
The situation is as follows: two computers, one modem, it was necessary to make it possible to surf the Internet from both computers. For the connection, a special skylink utility was used.
The solution, it would seem, is primitive - the skylink connection is made available over the network and the second computer quietly uses it. I ran into a problem - when using the Skylink program, the connection settings are reset each time, respectively, the public accessibility was not saved.
I decided to go the other way: I did not use the Skylink tool for the connection, but the standard Windows connection mechanism. I registered the number, login, password, made it available over the network. Everything worked, both computers normally went online. Rebooted the computer several times, checked, everything worked.
Today they call from the office, they say that the Internet is not working - when trying to connect to the network, error 678 is issued. There is money in the account. The support said that there must be an EVDO option. Google suggested that in the modem options you only need to check the box next to "Hardware flow control". Tried, doesn't help.
Accordingly, the question is: why did everything work yesterday, even after several restarts, but then it suddenly stopped and what should be done to use EVDO?
Thank you.
