Server from a regular PC for the site, okay?

There are a bunch of PCs from the ddr2 generation at work. Is it possible to create a server from them for one business card site for a company. And we have the usual free adsl internet. Will it pull? Is Linux hard to figure out? Links to good articles are welcome.
