How relevant are WD Raptor drives now?

It is possible to pick up a pair of WD Raptor 74GB 10000rpm on the cheap .
I think to put them in RAID-1 under the home server system. Proxmox is currently installed on the server (in which OpenMediaVault, LAMP, an IPTV server is planned). The server is in the cellar, so the issue of noise does not play a special role.
The question is how much will the rotation speed have an effect, or will any SATA-2 drive be preferable?

If for 1GB it is less than a 3TB black and there are enough ports, then take it
At the same time, think about where you will take another one when one dies in the raid

If on the cheap - it's less than 30% of the cost of any new disc, then it's worth it. Raptor were very noisy, vibrating and hot. Yes, and flew very well. I would advise you to take any modern disk instead.
