Selection of a computer for the chief accountant
For a small office, the chief accountant needs a computer. Bank client, 1C 8 for 2 users, office 2007, Kaspersky. The IT infrastructure is not set up, manual backups “when we remember”, hence the desire to make Raid1 to save data. I would like to pick up so that it is really comfortable to work and a little with a margin. They give little money, they said that in the ideal - 20,000, but this amount is definitely not met with a good decision.
I don’t know much about hardware, but after studying I got the following requirements:
Processor: Core i5-2400
Memory: minimum 4 Gb, optimal 8Gb (2x4Gb)
Motherboard: Intel H61 (if one hard drive) or Intel H67 (if 2 hard drives )
Power supply: 500W
Hard drive: 500 Gb (minimum) or 2x500 Gb (for reliable data storage)
Integrated video card (=Intel HD)
Windows 7 professional x64 (64-bit)
Criticize, please, where there is a lot, where there is not enough.
And the second - the main requirement - to take a ready-made computer in the assembly, and not in separate components. Then I came across such a thing that the assemblies offered in stores practically do not have 2 HDDs for installation in Raid. I came across this only in Yulmart, but there, with the declared support of Raid1, the chipset is indicated as Intel H61, and the website of the manufacturer of Raid support for this chipset is not indicated, and 4 Gb memory is just ridiculous at its price, 8 would seem to be no problem to shove ( we are talking about this assembly: http://www.ulmart.ru/goods/258513/). Where else can you see?
Found more options:

The main accountant has a comfortable keyboard! In general, a similar question here and not on April 1 looks dumb :)
“manual backups “when we remember”, hence the desire to make Raid1 for data safety” to save
data, you don’t need a raid, but a brain. well, or an incoming student who is able to cope with any automate, without a doubt, an unbearable task, by the
way, manually stuffing a couple of thousand invoices into the database eliminates forgetfulness for many years
"Core i5-2400" omg
, why? you don’t seem to plan to raise a terminal server on it for fifty snouts
raid is not for data safety, it is for high availability, only backups are for safety.
Damn, our developers' machines are much weaker than those that you are going to set up as the chief accountant! The chief accountant now has Celeron 1.7, a gig of memory and 80 HDD! And the most interesting thing is that more is not needed for her tasks!
As an option, look at the optimal requirements for all the software that the chief accountant really needs, and choose a car from this.

No way! 32 bits and not otherwise! Otherwise, I guarantee a lot, a lot of sex with client banks, reporting programs and other, other, other things.
And don't forget fdd there.
if “IT infrastructure is not established”, then it’s not worth it to climb
Maybe it makes sense to look at mini-itx?
what for these coffins (ATX) are needed in the office :(

The chief accountant, as well as the entire accounting department, will use the most ordinary computer, at least such www.depo.ru/config_depo_c1999_i143557_m2.aspx . What complex tasks does it solve on the computer?
You would have adjusted the server to the chief accountant so that he (she) could relax during breaks :)
