Screen recording software. Under Windows?
Good afternoon,
I need a program to record video of what is happening on the screen (on part of the screen). It is desirable with the ability to record sound, add sound, add captions to the desired frames. Well, some basic features for working with video.
The program may be paid. The main thing is that the video should be of normal quality, and the program itself is convenient and functional.
Platform: Windows
Thank you!

They asked to convey:
“I would highly recommend Adobe Captivate www.adobe.com/products/captivate/
and camtasia www.techsmith.com/camtasia/
Captivate is convenient in that while watching a video, you can insert pop-up signs of various types and time lengths into it. »
screen video grabber and video editor are different programs. of grabbers, people use Fraps, you can find editors yourself
for recording I use the latest versions of Fraps
for cutting / encoding Virtual Dub is the simplest and most understandable, with good functionality
screen2exe is a very small program, it writes to an executable, there is a setting for frames per second and quality. Even with the highest settings, the files are quite small. There is an option to record sound, but I did not use it. True, inserting any signs will not work.
I have been using Kamtasya for a long time, I am extremely satisfied. I especially like that when editing material after recording, you can increase / decrease an important area (filling out a form on the site, working with the menu in a raster program, etc.). But for some reason, it’s more convenient for me to do the final layout in Vegas: there I arrange different screensavers, cut it into pieces, add music, etc. However, all this can be done in Camtas itself, it’s just that I’m somehow more comfortable in Vegas.
I use Screen Recorder:
wisdom-soft.com/products/autoscreenrecorder.htm
There is a free and paid version. The functionality is pretty good.
I also recommend - Camtasia Studio for Windows convenient friendly interface
www.techsmith.com/camtasia/features/win/
You can also try Jing. I myself use CamStudio for recording and VideoPad Video Editor for editing. Its free version is very good and pleasant to work with.
It was already advised here, I’ll add, maybe it’s useful to someone:
www.officelabs.com/communityclips Download
where
“The Community Clips experiment has been completed and is no longer available. The screen recording tool is still available for download here . „
Attention, writes in WMV
HyperCam is quite suitable from commercial ones
, unlike Fraps (I don’t know how it is doing with it now) it can encode a video stream on the fly
