Replacing a DVD-RW with an SSD case?

All the best for the day!!!! I have a Toshiba sotellite c55t-b5349 laptop because of the long load, I decided to change the DVD-RW that I didn’t need for an additional ssd hard drive. After reading on this topic, I chose ssd and ordered a Protronix SATA Optical Bay 2nd Hard Drive Caddy
case for it, but this case turned out to be much larger than my DVD-RW. But I can't find smaller sizes. Can you tell me if there are sizes smaller than 9.5?

This is what a 12.7mm thick drive looks like - just like your case. That's why it doesn't fit.
Someone made a mistake and you got the wrong case.
Thinner is not needed, exactly 9 mm is needed.

so you have a box more than 9mm, you bought the wrong one.
