Why is the ssd not being formatted?
Good day. Essence of the question. We got a 16gb ssd from HP nettops (for free, so it's not a pity). Marking - Apacer MLC sata Module. From the box on the disk is Win10 Embended.
It was planned to deploy ubuntu server to these disks. From the image. The image is now in clonezilla format. (it's definitely working)
For each disk its own.
on several disks everything is normal, but on some of the disks the image unfolds, but when I boot I see the Windows bootloader ... which does not load, because there is no data already
) formatting...
I tried to install ubuntu from 0 - when partitioned, it throws an error, like the disk is not writable. Here it is not clear to me - if data cannot be written to the disk, how can clonezilla restore the image to it and does not display any errors ??
Am I right in assuming the discs are dead? Does it make sense to try low format?

Would recommend security clean:
hdparm --security-help
and be sure to make an area for OverProvisioning. It is done by the same utility with the -N switch
. Leave 10-15% empty and you will be happy)
which eats is not loaded, because there is no data already
Marking - Apacer MLC sata Module
