Relevance of SVG and its browser support?

Good evening! Please tell me how the situation with SVG is at the beginning of 2015.
I saw posts 3 years ago that it's too early to use SVG, poorly supported, heavy load on the browser. Where can I find up-to-date information on SVG in Russian and how are things going with cross-browser compatibility? Thank you!
