Redmibook 16 Ryzen or Intel?
The point is this. The seller charmed me with information that the ryzens were over and there was no my laptop on the ryzen 7 4700u, and said that he could send it to the I5-1035G1, the rest of the characteristics are absolutely equal. ssd 512 GB and 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz.
The only difference is that on Intel there is a discrete mx350 card. I don't play games, I rarely work with video. And basically I need a portable device for coding, so that I can take it to the university without charging and work on the road. Time is a decisive factor because Intel will arrive faster than I will wait for the replenishment of ryzens in the seller's warehouse. Ryzen is (theoretically) much faster than this Intel. If only because 8 real cores, twice the base frequency and more turbo frequency. Ryzen's IPC is also higher.
On the other hand, it's a theory. In reality, everything depends on throttling and you need to look for reviews with load testing. If during the test throttling starts after 3-5 minutes, then there will be no problems with overheating for operation. Real work does not load the processor as much as synthetic tests. But if throttling starts in a minute or faster, then during compilation it can start to overheat and drop frequencies.
I would wait for Ryzen. Or bought from another store.
