How to properly connect an external video card to a laptop?
Laptop asus x541 series 2016, i7 6500u, 16gb RAM 2133 ddr4, but integrated graphics (hd 520)
I wanted to connect an external video card and I seem to be doing everything right, but the laptop does not start at startup! (
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
Description of actions:
Disabling the wifi module
Connecting the mini pci e connector, through the usb cable leading to the board (pci expres x16) I
connect
the
board to the power supply and the video card itself to it. , be it from the laptop connector or its screen, or the video output of the video card. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
The video card is fully working, nvidia geforce gt 430 1gb (does not require additional power)
Maybe this is the problem that there is no additional power supply. Help me out!) The laptop pleases me with its ability and speed. But I would also like to play at least at the minimum wage in heavy games.
Power supply new for 500

Not every laptop can do this. On Mini PCI-e, for wifi and other modules, only USB lines are often bred from the corresponding PCI controller. The GPU will not start under such conditions.
