Recommend laptop for work
Hello, please advise a laptop within 30-32k.
The device is needed for work (NetBeans IDE, Ruby on Rails, database operation, etc.) and as a camping laptop (take a trip to watch a movie, read Habr). I'm not going to play on it, the capacity and speed of the hard / RAM are not important (in any case, there will be a replacement for 2x4GB + SSD).

U36SD is great. Gloss infuriates, but no more.
Well, yes - try the Thinkpad X220. If you really work, and do not boast of a beautiful piece of iron in front of colleagues.
I use Acer Aspire Timeline 3820TG, with 3830 they are very similar. I will say that this is more of a machine for all occasions. For me, a student, it was perfect. And it’s convenient to go to the university with him, and the battery holds for a long time, and you can play games during the session. For work, such a video card, of course, may seem superfluous. Moreover, I observe a minus associated with its use: it does not always switch to a video card integrated into the chipset when the power is turned off. It is unpleasant when for the sake of such a simple operation you have to restart the laptop. For half a year of use, the battery began to work for an hour with a little less (but initially it kept its 7.5-8 hours).
The X220 is an almost perfect working machine. I would not refuse something useful there instead of pcmci, but it's good anyway.
Look at the parameters (there is a link "All parameters", there you can specify the operating time, thickness, whatever).
See reviews on site:http://www.notebookcheck-ru.com/ , YouTube, google for linux drivers if needed.
In 13.3, dedicated cards are already quietly installed, it's another matter that many of them are worse than even the integrated Intel HD 3000 (see here ). And for an external monitor, at least it is very desirable. (although I'm not an expert)
You can look at the Acer ASPIRE S3 ultrabook (although the reviews are contradictory ) HDMI, 7 h, 1.3 kg, 320GB HDD + 20GB SSD (if enough, you can save on ssd)
In general, a laptop should be viewed externally in an offline store: screen, keyboard, appearance. To me, for example, all (except vaio z) 13.3 laptops seem bulky like 14 "(and they, in turn, like 15.4")
think pad x220

The U36SD has a matte screen brother, the U30SD, although it is slightly heavier due to the DVD.
