Recommend good and preferably free backup software for win

I can't find any good software for automatically creating backup copies of folders and files. (Preferably with the possibility of incremental saving)

I want exactly an automatic tool - so that it does not interrupt all tasks by displaying an error like the file is busy skip/interrupt on the monitor there is a lot of software)

Of course, open source is desirable, under the GPL ... but this is so, just a wish.

thanks in advance

Once upon a time (when I lived under Windows) I really liked the nnBackup + nnCron bundle

In general, everything has already been said.
In 2003 - built-in ntbackup
In 2008 - built-in archiving service (you only need to keep track of old copies)
Cobian works very well in both, just set the archive format to 7z - and everything will be ok.

The copier. It has not been updated for a long time, but it functions properly. Free for corporate use.

By the way, with a large number of files, it can be beneficial to make not an archive, but a synchronized mirror (with synchronization only in one direction, of course). Thus, only small changes will be made to the mirror daily, the operation will take less time and computing power, but more space. Such synchronization can be done, for example, by Handy Backup, although it is paid.

In Xp, I also saw some kind of native backup tool in the schedules. There is a function of backup differences.

SyncBack Freeware:

A handy program for not the most complex backups. It is clearly written where and where what will be copied and under what conditions.
Support for all sorts of "buns", like uploading somewhere to a secure FTP - in paid versions.
