Does anyone have experience deploying a front-end for MS Exchange based on Linux?
Who can advise what to solve this problem?

Well, if by front-end you mean the client, then try connecting Evolution.
Well, OWA saves.

In the sense of a ready-made front-end? Expand owa and everyone will be happy under any browser convenient for the user.
Well, or pop3/smtp/imap for those who are more used to mutt/thunderbird/kmail/evolution.
