RDP not accepting username and password from Microsoft account?
I have a Desktop with Windows 10 1909. It has a Microsoft account set up (not a local user). When setting up RDP and entering obviously correct data (user and password), it says: "Invalid user or password." I created a local user and tried to connect through it - everything works. I can't figure out why I can't sign in with my Microsoft account.
PS Authorization by PIN code is enabled on the Microsoft account.
PPS Login format - [email protected] The password is set, of course, it's a Microsoft account. Two-factor authentication enabled.

Another option. Just disable the PIN code and log in to the Microsoft account with a password (do not use the Microsoft authenticator. The point, apparently, is that during a clean installation, logging in to the Microsoft account using a mobile authenticator, and not by password, it does not load the password and, accordingly, does not store HASHI password (probably wrong).

Found a solution. So, everyone who encounters this problem needs to do the following:
1) In the "Windows Settings" menu, go to "Accounts" and in the sub-item "Your data" click "Sign in with a local account instead"
Windows will first ask you to enter a new local password for the account, and then log out of the account. We follow her advice.
2) Enter the local password and go to the account. We go along the path that is in the first paragraph and click "Sign in with a Microsoft account."
Next, Windows will ask for your credentials, enter them and voila, now you can connect to your computer via RDP. To see your "login" for RDP go to "Computer Management" --> "Local Users" --> "Users". Find your account there (example: buhpc). It is this name that will serve as your login for authorization via RDP, and the password will be the same as that of a Microsoft account.
Example:
User: buhpc
Password: Microsoft account password
PS I omitted in this post about adding this account either to the Administrators group,
Thank you all for your help.
You just need to remove the PIN code, enter the nickname \ password \ connect in rdp and return the PIN code back.
All you have to do is enter your Microsoft credentials correctly:
Login: [email protected] (same as when you sign in to the Microsoft website)
Pass: your password
If an authenticator application is used, then it must be disabled, otherwise it will not work if you do not enter the password from the account.
From personal experience. In order not to engage in the dances with a tambourine described above, when connecting RDP with a Microsoft account, you must specify the domain. It looks like this:
Login: MicrosoftAccount\your_mail
Password: your_password
Neither authenticators nor pin codes interfere with this
