RAID 1 on Adaptec B2348 and Proxmox(Debian) - how to win?
Good day to all!
Such problem: There is a new Depo Storm 2300N5 server. It has 2 SATA drives 2TB. The built-in utility configured Raid first, but Proxmox 2.1 and pure Debian see it as 2 different disks, and when you install the system on one of them, the array collapses. Is it possible to make Proxmox see this array as a single disk during installation? Adaptec B2348 controller. Maybe some special driver is needed? On the disk with the driver server for windows only.

A strange controller, neither Google knows about it, nor the Adaptec website, nor the depot website in the 2300N5 configuration. In general, I put red hat on a Deposhny server at one time on a software raid. There, some kind of controller was incomprehensible on it did not want to run.
In theory, Adaptec has all the dravas here www.adaptec.com/en-us/support/raid/#ata_raid and they are not bad with Linux support.
If the disk is not seen alone, then you have Fake_Raid and there is no point in trying to run it on the server!
