Python or JavaScript for the first job?
Hello. Comrades in the code, help me make a choice.
I'm learning Python, Django, taking a course on Coursera. But the number of vacancies on hh and other sites does not add enthusiasm, especially in my city there are only a few of them, but much more on JavaScript. Python is more interesting, but there are few vacancies, JavaScript is less interesting, but there are many vacancies, plus I don’t want to reset my progress in Python and start JavaScript from scratch. And I really want to work, and not just study. Help with advice, please.

I had a similar situation in front of me, also a beginner, I also learned one thing, as a result, the proposals in the city were different, I thought for a long time. I decided to go where I want, and not what they offer, as a result, the city was refused, and literally within a week, a job was found remotely with the best conditions and preferred technologies. Of course, remote work for a beginner is a rather complicated thing, but if you feel the strength in yourself, then why not. And get some experience, then switching from one language to another and changing the technology stack will be a common thing for you, and as mentioned above, the language will be just a tool for you.
My advice is don't waste your time, learn something well and move in that direction. As they say: "for two hares ..."
Without JS and other CSS in web development, you still won't get far. it's like a fact.
Moreover, if you yourself say that there is no work in the city in Python, then why look for money under a street lamp, and not where you lost it? ...
here is a sensational article about how a guy in a provincial town learned Python
