Proof of your degree abroad?

I have a diploma with the specialty "engineer" which I received in 2010 after graduating from the Faculty of ISU. Tell me, will I need to confirm it when immigrating on a green card? Someone already done this? How to translate it into English correctly, what documents to request from the university? How long does this process take? I am primarily interested in the United States, but it would also be interesting to read any experience with other countries and other ways of immigration - work, student, business visas.

Most likely, it does not depend on the type of visa, but I'm not sure. Nostrification is a standard procedure, any international lawyer will help you with this. From myself, I will only add that you need to warn your university that they may receive requests from the USA for archival certificates. Well, in some areas of activity, our diplomas, in principle, are not quoted by them, even if you at least become a doctor of science with us.
If for Kyiv - write to me in a personal, I will give the contacts of a normal legal center.

First, you need to ask your future employer if he wants to see your diploma.
Secondly, you need to ask your future employer if he accepts confirmation of diploma from ece.org. It is
more advantageous for you to have confirmation from ece if you still need it: they add a copy of your diploma. You can do the translation yourself, it's quite simple, you don't need to certify anything.
Then go to ece.org, where the whole procedure is described. It takes about a month and a half
There is another office - WES, but it's more expensive and you have to send the original there, which you don't want to do
