IT architecture - how to learn?

Please advise books, articles, courses to obtain basic knowledge of IT architecture.

What exactly is the problem? Internet, network, servers, programs, programming - it's all very cool. But there is not enough understanding of the whole picture, to tie everything together. This can be compared to the fact that you learn how to lay a wall, but you don’t understand how buildings are built in general, according to what principles, from what, how, etc.

Recommend materials that will help to fully see computer and information technologies in their entirety and understand the rules of the game.

Great wiki article. Absorb information at least a pack.

What you describe is, of course, wonderful, but the scale is not the same. If you want to be a competent specialist, you should not waste your brains on the "understanding" of all IT, especially at the initial stages.
Study what you plan to do. Otherwise, in an attempt to achieve the "zen" of an architect, you will never build a wall, in an attempt to understand the molecular component of a brick. It will be like in the movie "The House That Jack Built". Master of Perfectionism.
