Programming course completion document?

Will it be a plus when looking for a job to have a document on the successful completion of programming courses? Or do they need higher education? sorry if i posted in the wrong place :)

Other things being equal, it will be a plus.
If the position implies the presence of higher education, then this document will not replace it.
