What language is now used most often when programming FPGAs?
And after the question: how relevant is VHDL today? I'm trying to find a development environment - it googles weakly or junk. Or is no one already working on FPGAs? .. Or am I looking badly / I don’t understand well?

They do, of course.
The development environment is provided by the FPGA manufacturer, since the product is highly specialized.
Accordingly, you have little choice:
1. Altera
2. Xilinx
Both vendors support VHDL and Verilog.
For myself, I prefer Verilog, as it is less verbose and confusing.
