Where to write an article about the reverse engineering of a laser scanner - on Habr or Giktimes?

I'm going to write an article about reverse engineering of a laser scanner. The article will have a detailed description of the design, circuits, something about programming the microcontroller, and a description of converting it into a 3D scanner. However, the question arose - where to publish the article? Still, most of the article will be devoted to the operation of electronics, and not to programming.

On habr - https://habrahabr.ru/hub/reverse-engineering/ - articles not only about programming are quite normal here. I'm waiting for the article :-) Interesting!

If we were talking about the use of a piece of iron - GT.
Reverse engineering - definitely Habr.

If there is code in the article, you can go to Habr, to "reverse engineering" and "programming microcontrollers". But at the same time, the GT has hubs "Hardware", "3D printers", "programming", etc. - if the bias is more towards the iron side, then it is more relevant to place it in the GT. Look at the circumstances.
As an option - to make 2 articles, in one - about reverse engineering (on Habré), in the second - about the device, about the possibilities, alteration, etc. And link them to each other.

Still, this is geek hardware, so as for me - geektimes.
But in general, in principle, do not care, people read this and that.

More like a geek. Still, lovers of their work gather there. Yes, I would be very interested in reading your article.

And what is your goal? Maybe there is a different option altogether?
On reverse engineering, they usually don’t write serious articles for open access, developments in this area are of great value to a narrow audience, so it’s much more rational to sell them for money or build your project on it, but if you choose a different path, you should understand that you want to achieve.
