Processor instruction execution speed?
Why does the (same) speed of execution of processor instructions (frequency / cache / other) depend / does not depend? Let's take for example some core i3 and core i7, will the AESNI instruction execution speed be faster for the newer one?
Answer the question
In order to leave comments, you need to log in
1. instruction size and processor capacity
2. processor frequency
3. In terms of executing instructions in a program, the cache allows you to read instructions from RAM into the processor cache in advance and execute instructions without delay
. But this is very superficial. Modern processors and the entire processor-motherboard-memory system is a rather complicated thing, and everything is non-linear there, if we talk about the program, and not individual instructions
