Updating the processor on the server?
Lord good afternoon.
There is a server for mysql. It was acquired a very long time ago (about 5 years ago). During this time, the database has grown from several megabytes to several gigabytes. Well, of course, online has increased. After a while, I periodically optimized sql queries. But right now it's useless. And the percentage is packed almost to the eyeballs.
Question. I want to buy a more powerful percent. And preferably the most powerful one that will rise. Can you tell me which one is the most powerful?

It’s better to update the entire server at once - there will be more sense.
Isn't this a normal system with i7?
It's easier to buy a real server with a powerful xeon, ala 10+ cores.
