Can I replace the Intel Celeron M560 processor with a Core 2 Duo T8300?

The crux of the matter is that on the Intel website, these processors have a different socket, one has PPGA478, the other has PGA478. Different sources have different information, some say that the sockets are not compatible, others that all the buzz can be set. So who to believe? Notebook chipset to the word Intel GM965 and its specifications indicate that the processor Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 is supported.

look into the laptop, or find pictures of the motherboard with an open socket and look carefully what the name is written on it;)
Goes to intel site - read:
AHA!!!

The main thing is not to take a new processor under 479, they are not physically compatible .

Depending on the case material, there are three versions:
PPGA (Plastic PGA) - has a plastic case;
CPGA (Ceramic PGA) - has a ceramic package;
OPGA (Organic PGA) - has a case made of organic material;
Therefore, pga478 from ppga478 is the same thing, only specifically ppga478 in a plastic case
. Further, it depends on the antiquity of the BIOS, everything worked on old machines.
