Cooler stopped working, laptop HP G62. What could be?

Dismantled, connected the cooler to the power supply - spinning. The laptop does not spin and shows an error at startup. Could this be due to problems with the central (signal) wire (which I did not connect to the PSU)?

If only I knew what the mistake was, because there are a lot of reasons. As an option, there are problems with the central wire, but they are a very small chance.

Does it spin on a cold start? It may well be that without receiving a response from the cooler, mb stops supplying voltage and gives an error.
