Crucial M4 vs OCZ Agility 3 – what to choose for a netbook?
Good afternoon.
Please help me solve the following problem:
There is an Acer Aspire One 533 netbook. Recently, the idea of replacing the HDD with an SSD has not let me go - the slow launch of programs, slow compilation and the feeling of a general "slowness" of this piece of iron are very sad.
The budget is quite modest - 5000 rubles maximum. I'm looking at two options:
1) Crucial M4 64Gb (CT064M4SSD2) - there is a positive experience of use, but the small volume confuses. I would gladly take a 128 GB model if it cost up to 5 tr.
2) OCZ Agility 3 120 Gb (AGT3-25SAT3-120G) - suitable for the price and volume, but the stereotype "SandForce is unreliable" confuses.
What would you advise to take from this - OCZ or Crucial? Or is there some third option that I completely missed?
And a separate question - is there any point in replacing specifically for a netbook?

I preferred to pay more for reliability than to take a pig in a poke.
The alternatives are well discussed on the overclockers forum . The header shows the most reliable models, see which of them can be found for 120/128 GB up to 5 thousand rubles.
Crucial M4 128Gb starts at 4800. With delivery, you get 5500 maximum. Not such a big difference from 5000, but there are 2 times more space. And the place, as you know, is never superfluous :)
Six months OCZ Agility 3. Normal flight. According to rumors, a firmware update saves from a sandforce glitch.
The main thing is to make sure in advance that the connection interfaces are the same and fit in size. They are tiny netbooks, there may be non-standard options (thin screws or msata connection).
ocz vertex 4 128GB will cost about 5.5. 64GB is still hard to find. But IMHO it is better than the above.
Agility 2 (60GB) two years, everything is fine
Agility 3 (120GB) half a year, everything is fine
I would not want to take SandForce. No matter how "fixed" it is. I will speak for Crucial.
In general, from experience, I installed an Intel 320 SSD in an old MSI Wind U90. The result exceeded all expectations.
