Why did the monitor stop supporting the image?

I have a powercolor r290x graphics card. Everything is ok with the drivers on the manufacturer's website - I added a resolution with a frequency of 75Hz using the CRU program and selected it in Windows. Now I updated the firewood on the AMD website, and when this resolution was selected, the monitor began to flicker, and it says "this output mode is not supported." What could be the problem?
ps in games still remained 75Hz, but for some reason there are black bars on all sides.
