Problem with space when deleting a file in a linked windows server folder?

Help deal with the problem.
There are two drives C and D.
In the C drive, a symbolic link is made in the Apache directory to the directory on the D drive.
When data is loaded into the system, the capacity consumption on the D drive and in the Apache directory on the C drive increases. Files appear.
When deleting data in the system, there is a decrease in capacity consumption on drive D, but not on drive C. Files disappear.
It turns out that the system holds some kind of cache, which is RELEASED over time ... Help me figure out what's going on and how to live with it?

Correct, because nothing was stored on C, therefore there is no reduction in consumption.

here I stopped understanding you. we talked about vodka, but skipped over to petunias... there are a lot of all sorts of caches in the system, which are released over time, but all of them have a very indirect relation to symbolic links.
