I have a 2008 iMac with OS X 10.6.8 on board. One terrible day, my light went out when I turned on this unit. After that, he completely refused to boot. Only Windows works in parallel with it. It does not boot from the installation disk (it does not see it at all), it also does not boot from the actual recorded image. Safe mode doesn't work either. Advise what can be done?

If it does not boot from the disk, the drive may be dead. or dusty. Ideally, make a 10.6 bootable USB flash drive and boot from it already. You can also reset the memory cmd+opt+p+r.
