Printer Installation Portal?
Good day.
Recommend a self-installation printer portal/interface solution for users.
There are already more than 30 MFPs in the office, mainly Kyocera, network ones.
The print server is lifted now, installation goes through GPO. There are a couple of reasons why I do not want to develop this business further:
1) printing depends on the communication channel, if the print server is unavailable, printing is impossible.
2) time to apply GPO policies and update the user in groups, you need to once again ask the user to reboot (relogin).
What I think about:
- printer installation interface - the user chooses the location, the printer, clicks "install"
- the printer's tcp / ip port is created, the necessary drivers are thrown.
- the print server is not used.
There are probably other options.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
