Hello.
Very interesting, what is more profitable? Which way to go first?
To increase the number of potential customers or the visitors themselves?

This is usually done in the following way:
1) They drive users, remove certain conversion rates.
2) If they are normal, they drive more users, if they are low, they work to increase the conversion.
3) They bring more users, look at the indicators again.
And so cyclically ad infinitum.
The percentage of conversion depends on the specifics of the project, the quality of incoming traffic, and the user's monetization plans.
