Portfolio with top brands?

Is it legal to depict illustrations of characters (Marvel, DC, Disney, etc.) in your portfolio, as if showing your artistic skills using the example of their characters.
And also depict sites with the logo of top brands (Apple, Addidas, Nike), for example, made the Nike clothing site, just as an example of what I can do.
After all, I don’t sell anything from their brand, I just showed that I can use their brand as an example.

Illegal.
The use of someone else's trademark (brand) in commercial activities is permitted only with the permission of the owner of the trademark.
They promoted their TM, made it recognizable, invested significant money in the image. If there is even the slightest possibility that their brand will be associated with a possible negative, this will be stopped.

No one has the right to use, without the permission of the right holder, designations similar to his trademark in relation to goods for the individualization of which the trademark is registered, or similar goods, if as a result of such use there is a possibility of confusion.
You can use.
The main thing - do not mislead people with the help of logos that you are selling goods / services on their behalf. And so - you do not violate their rights.

It seems to me that there will be no problems - if it is obvious that you do not somehow benefit from this and do not advertise this brand / product / service.
