Please advise a normal foreign domain registrar

There is a desire to register a domain in the me zone with a foreign registrar. Advise someone normal, please. I don’t know what difficulties I will face (I hope that I will not have any), so if it’s not difficult, describe them too.
Thanks a lot.

namecheap.com, I've been holding 8 domains there for 4 years. No problems, and online reviews are good.

Used last year (2013) the services of Godaddy.
I was tempted by their shares and purchased two domains in the *.CO zone (for a share for $13 each).
I made the payment with a credit card issued in my name (individual).
Everything was fine. Blogs have been launched. Prepared material for filling.
However, after a few days, the domains were blocked, and later a grueling correspondence in English began with Godaddy using "humanoid robots" in technical support.
As a result, it was required to provide a scan of a credit card (it’s not entirely clear why?) and the money for paying for domains was returned to it.
And after a couple of weeks, the domains were removed from my personal account.
Now I can’t use domains, I can’t buy them again, I can’t do anything at all, and again I’m waiting for days for answers from technical support.
I searched the Internet for reviews of Godaddy and found a lot of similar situations.
It seems that Godaddy are the biggest scammers on the web extorting money from users.
I personally am not ready to work with Godaddy in the future and I am not ready to recommend this service to anyone.
I haven't found any other reliable alternatives yet. In search of.

I've been using Mydomain.com for 7 years - they currently sell .me for $9.99 , which is a little more expensive than on the sites above, but I've never had any problems - I pay through VBT's MasterCard Standard.

I like http://www.onlydomains.com/ for the quality of the service it provides. Domains in .me register normally (checked). And they also have cool frogs as a logo / mascot :)

namecheap.com .me domains for $7.49, free private whois for the first year. I registered .net/.org/.info domains with them, there were no problems.

Godaddy.com is a normal service, normal prices, no problems with DNS, easy administration. I keep almost all my domains with them.
