How to add a new website (not a domain, but a virtual host) to cPanel?

There was a trivial task to add a new site to the site for the client. Installed cPanel. I parked the domain, started looking for the "Sites" section. Have not found. I go to the documentation, it points to the "Additional domains" section. I go there, I create. And this bastard makes a subdomain instead of an additional one (but also creates an additional one).
I can’t understand the developers’ sick fantasy, but why do I need a subdomain when I just want another vhost separate from any other domain and bind another domain to it? Damn, it's easier to manually register everything in the Apache configs than to contact this canoe, but unfortunately not my server, I can't :-(

Does Spanel do it? IMHO whm is always paired with a spanel, where domains are added
